Stark difference between Barack Obama and Rick Santorum

There are stark differences between Rick Santorum and President Barack Obama. One of these differences is how they view life and religious freedom.

Rick Santorum is a strong Pro-Life Advocate. He had sponsored and co-sponsored the following bills:
Workplace Religious Freedom Act
Abortion Non-Discimination Act
Health Care Protection Act
The above mentioned bills provide protection of the individual's right to not participate in procedures that they believe to be morally wrong.

President Obama's administration recently announced that Health plans are ordered to cover birth control without co-pay by Aug. 1, 2012. Religious affiliated hospitals and universities must comply by August 1, 2013 . This administration is misusing it's power to force people to go against their deeply held religious beliefs. Rick Santorum said that he entered the Presidential race because of Obama's Health Care legislation. He is not the only GOP candidate who opposes this health care. But he is the candidate with the determination to continue this fight. Santorum doesn't just say he is prolife, he is prolife. His record matches his rhetoric. He has been on the front lines standing for life and family issues. He knows that a strong family is the core of a strong economy. If one can not be trusted to protect life – how can we trust them with anything else? When Barack Obama was Senator he voted four times against legislation to protect the life of a baby that survived a botched abortion.

View this video and see how passionately Senator Santorum debates the Partial Birth Abortion Bill

The choice is clear. Do we want a President who will defend and protect life or do we want someone who will not even protect the life of a baby that survived a botched abortion?

Pray for those who are in prison

Youcef Nardarkhani is in prison and awaiting a decision as to whether he will receive the death penalty.  According to the prisoner profile @ Prison Alert  the authorities have used a variety of methods to convert him back to Islam.  Nardarkhani protested a government policy that his children be taught the Quran in school and said that the Iranian constitution allows for freedom of religion.
Pray for Pastor Nardarkhani, his family and others who are persecuted for their faith in Christ Jesus.  Also consider taking the time to write a letter to those who are imprisoned.  VOM makes this easy, you can write a letter to those imprisoned, translating it into their own language by using a drop down menu on the Prisoner Alert    page on their site.

Praying for life

Last week there were several request for prayer concerning those who were considering or talking about ending their lives. We also were saddened by the news of Andrew Koenig and Michael Blosil (Marie Osmond's son). I pray for their families and all families and friends of those who have taken their own lives.
We have become so desensitized to death in this nation that people are beginning to believe that ending their life is a solution to life's problems? Why is depression seem so prevalent in our nation? Ten years ago I never heard of someone being bi-polar and now it seems that so many are diagnosed as bi-polar.

This article from Lifenews cites that young women are more likely to commit suicide and that abortion is one reason for the increase. The study showed that women who had abortions were more likely to commit suicided than women who delivered their babies. The article also said that other studies showed that women who have had abortions have higher rates of depression and mental illness than women who gave birth.

Please continue to pray that we would turn to the Lord Jesus and receive His Love, Mercy, Compassion, Forgiveness, Salvation and the abundant life the He offers to all who will call upon HIs name. Pray for those who are suffering from depression, pray for their families and friends.
The enemy of our souls comes to steal, destroy and murder. Jesus comes to give life and that more abundantly. JOHN 10:10
